Nice article. Here in CA, carry permits are issued on a county by county basis from the sheriff. In LA or San Francisco is is essentially impossible to get one. Only exceptions are for influential politicians and large contributors to the sheriff's reelections campaigns. Hope the day comes when we can carry if we feel the need.
