Western Fair has asked HANA again to get an opinion on what you want as customers.

Their pick 4 for the Molson Pace, later this month is guaranteed, and has a low takeout of 15% - so it is a pretty good bet. The races that make up the sequence (the card is good) are there for the taking!

What races - in addition to the Molson Pace - do you, as a player want to wager on as a part of the pick 4?

If you take this survey, your opinion counts. Western Fair will card whichever races the majority of fans want as the pick 4.

It takes less than 30 seconds, and it's only one question!

Harness racing has been very friendly to players of late, Western Fair being one of the tracks. We hope to do more things like this in the future.

Thanks for taking the survey everyone. And good luck at the windows.

This must be avoided at all costs

Yonkers Pick 4 on Apr 14 2012
Race 7 1 Blatantly Good..... $2.20
Race 8 4 Real Nice ............$2.60
Race 9 4 Foiled Again ........$2.10
Race 10 4 Samandar .........$5.60

Pick 4 1/4/4,7/4 $9.90

I took the survey and applaud Western Fair for it's efforts...
but how can you select races without knowing the field size?

They'll be all full fields I assume Ray, altho sometimes the consolation does not fill. Greg (announcer and dude behind it) is a horseplayer so he'll try that's for sure.

Last year the pick 4 paid $1860 for a buck

I can tell you what will get me to bet a pick 4 at western fair. Don't make me feel like a jackass having to bet a dollar while everyone in canada is spread out betting .20 tickets. They fixed this problem at Woodbine , why can't the b tracks follow? I never bet a dollar into the western super pools for the exact same reason.

For me, I think the value in harness racing is the trots. Trotting races tend to harder to figure for the average capper but for me, I love the trotting races. I guess I am a purist at heard. IN thoroughbreds, I prefer the turf, the longer the race the better for me.

I voted for the all three trotting races,,,the two stakes or series and the one preferred. Don't think that will fly but at least I had a chance to put my two cents in, that is all I want.

RTD, we think alike. I selected the three trotting races. Not only am I a purist (hate those trotting hobbles), I figure they will be more difficult as well.

As for not seeing the actual fields, realistically how can you have a contest when the fields aren't going to be drawn until three days before the race. Greg Blanchard is a person who does whatever is possible for the bettor.

Western Fair is aware of complaints like yours. Their tote vendor, who is different from Woodbine's, has been working on this. Unfortunately, it is taking the vendor much longer than anyone has anticipated. Western Fair is now being told the problem should be resolved in time for the Molson, but they have been told this before.

The people at Western Fair are not happy about this at all. The last thing they want is to lose someone who wants to wager on their races but can't because of something like this. They try to do right by the customers; unfortunately, it doesn't always look this way.

If you're referring to my field size comment, this was in regards to the survey not any contest.
I don't like playing small fields in Pic4s with coupled entries.

London, Friday, May 18, 2012 -- The Raceway at The Western Fair District is pleased to announce that, beginning with tonight’s Molson Pace elimination program, it will now have the ability to offer .20 cent minimum wagers to its loyal fan base in the United States.

Canadian customers had already been able to wager on these offerings at the .20 cent increment.

“We’re very happy to be able to start offering this with tonight’s program,” said The Raceway General Manager Ian Fleming. “These are two of our most popular wagers and we’re pleased that we can now offer the same minimum to our valued American customers as well as Canadians.”

The new offering comes after significant testing between United Tote and the CPMA over the past several months.

This news comes just in time for this year’s Molson Pace program, next Friday, May 25, where a $15,000 guaranteed pool pick-4 will be offered on the card.
