TEAM DYANFORMER PROFILE

ten2oneormore - mrhorseplayer - smokinjoe@bp

Years in League: First
Regular Season Finish: 3rd - 403 points
Playoffs: Quarter-Finals Bye; Semi-Finals 2nd

Team Bio
Mrhorseplayer and Ten2oneormore met through a sports gambling forum where they agreed to join forces along with Smokinjoe@bp in a team contest last year. They did very well and figured they would keep it going.

They claim to be "not too inventive in how we get our picks together". Mrhorseplayer and Smokinjoe@bp send Ten2oneormore the 2 or 3 horses they like, and he combines them with his own picks.

Ten2oneormore (Dynaformer on most other sites)
Age-34
Residence -Spring,PA (Philly Suburb)
Hometrack-Garden State Park was my home away from home when growing up in South Jersey until it became a strip mall. Moved to PA 10 years ago so now the NYRA circuit gets the bulk of my play because I won't play PRX and PEN .
Handicapping Methods- I use CJs pace figures. My method is betting longshots to win and horizontally in Pick 3s.
Racing Achievements-Just started playing contests/tournaments last year when I won one of the monthly finals in the Twinspires Handicapping series. I won some cash and entry into the Twinspires Online Championship where I finished on the bubble. Since then have won a bunch of tourneys on Derbywars.
Hobbies- Poker/Horses/Sports Betting

Mrhorseplayer
Age-44
Residence-Ponca City , OK
Hometrack-Remington Park, although I play mainly the NYRA/CD circuit (except AQ inner winter meet) with a little Hol and Tampa/GP in the winter
Handicapping Methods- I start by looking at field size and playable races, determine how the race might shape up and go from there with how to play it and ticket construction. Trip handicapping is a invaluable part of my handicapping.
Racing Achievements- placed 3rd in the Pace Advantage UPC HOY last year
Hobbies- Horse Racing, and Horse Racing and some more Horse Racing.

Smokinjoe@bp
Met my teammates through tournament play and figured if I can't beat them I may as well join them.

Born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio and relocated to south Louisiana in the early 80's. I worked with horses since my teenage years. My old boss from back then trains at Penn National now. I currently work in the oilfields, 7 on 7 off schedule.

I've been capping horses since age 16 when I was an the old Waterford Park patron. The last 4 yearrs, I've returned to the horse scene breaking and training babys for there new careers. It's fun to get on them and finally get to see them race.

I've been married for 29 yearrs to a great lady, who has done a remarkable job with the raising of me and our children.

I do all my handicapping in the early morning hours when my mind is clear. I do not read the form, but do make my own figures and really enjoy the challenge of picking winners.

MASTERS OF FUTILITY PROFILE

camourous - TBred17roan - Chackiee

Years in League: First
Regular Season Finish: 4th - 400 points
Playoffs: Quarter-Finals Bye; Semi-Finals 6th

Team Bio
The MASTERS OF FUTILITY came together when our friend Chackiee was looking for 2 guys to fill his team in the defunct EPFHL at Eponies. Tbred17Roan is the father of Camourous, while Chackiee and Camourous have known each other since 1999, while working together at PARX. We all get together on occasion at PARX or sometimes for a poker game. Each week in the PAIHL, Tbred17roan picks 2 races he wants to do first, then Chackiee gets 3 races and Camourous tackles what is left.

Camourous
Home Track - PARX, Harrahs Philadelphia. I am more of a harness capper now but still bet the Tbreds on occasion. I handicap off the form mostly but I also use Gapfire as I received a membership as a result of winning one of the Parlay contests last year. I also have 2 cats named Gingras and Callie

Tbred17roan
Home Track - Monmouth Park. I computer handicap with A+, Zambuto and Handifast. In the past, I competed in the World Series of Handicapping that was held each year at Penn National in the 1990's. I have a cat named Butch

Chackiee
Home Track - PARX. I am a exercise rider at PARX and have been for many years. I am a disciplined handicapper who plays a few horses a week at PARX. I fancy myself a pretty damn good football capper as well. I live with my 3 cats -- Princess, Ginger and Skipster.

TEAM OVERLAY PROFILE

Overlay - falconridge - toetoe

Years in League: Second
2011 Regular Season Finish: 13th - 231 points
2011 Playoffs: Quarter-Finals Eliminated

2012 Regular Season Finish: 6th - 393 points
2012 Playoffs: Quarter-Finals Bye, Semi-Finals 7th

Team Bio
Team Overlay consists of Overlay (Tim), falconridge (Richard), and toetoe (Chris); and represents Overlay Publications (www.overlaypublications.com (http://www.overlaypublications.com)).

Overlay
Tim grew up in Cincinnati, and saw his first race at River Downs. His interest in handicapping increased when he went to college in Southern California in 1972, where he met Richard, who was also a racing fan. (It was later, through PaceAdvantage and Richard, that he became acquainted with Chris.) The turning point in Tim's handicapping was reading Dr. William Quirin's Winning at the Races. Since then, he has structured his handicapping around an effort to statistically formulate accurate fair-odds figures for win bets and exotic wagers, in order to base selections and bet sizes on wagering value. (This orientation served as the basis for his PaceAdvantage user name.) He has played at a wide variety of tracks as a result of the multiple locations (including ten assignments in his civil service position with the U. S. Army) in which he has lived. He has also put his handicapping method into written publications, which he markets through several outlets, including his own website (http://www.overlaypublications.com (http://www.overlaypublications.com/)), as well as American Turf Monthly and Gambler's Book Club.

Since Tim lives in the Central time zone in Alabama, he handicaps each week's PAIHL races by himself, and then e-mails them to Richard in California and Chris in Nevada, who have their own more qualitative and intuitive perspectives, and who then develop the team's overall blended selections. Not surprisingly, Tim's main hobby has been (and still is) thoroughbred handicapping, but he also found time (in 2010) to become a JEOPARDY! champion, which Richard and Chris were on-hand to witness.

toetoe
Chris was born in Berkeley, California, but was raised by itinerant whelk farmers in County Wicklow, where, as a toe-headed young apprentice to a venerable Gaelic shell mender, young Chris tied for low gross in the 1968 Eniskerry Railway Junior Links Cup. After the Great Periwinkle Blight of 1971 killed off most of what Chris’s parents and 11 siblings had harvested from the shoals of Bray Head to the eddies of the River Aughrim (not to mention the River Haskell), Chris stowed away on a steamer bound for Brasil, where the cheeky young upstart had hoped to find work as a butt-lifter on Ipanema Beach. Frustrated in his early attempts to do his part to make his adopted country famous for its peoples’ high-slung—indeed, heaven-bound!—backsides, he was forced to take a number of menial, low-paying, or dangerous jobs (as a phrenologist’s assistant, as canary teaser in an upsidasium mine, and as lube man on the set of the high-budget porn production, Lift Mine) before eventually finding his way to the Hipódromo da Gávea, where for the better part of a holiday weekend he served as placing judge, morning line maker, and pastry crimper.

What happened after that scandalous turn with the petits fours at the Gávea bakery remains shrouded in mystery. For her part, the redoubtable (and notoriously secretive) Mônica Rodrigues Carvalho denies any prolonged romantic involvement with the peripatetic NoCal ascetic: “Chris e eu somos apenas amigos--de verdade!”

falconridge
Richard was born in the Year of the Horse, and there are never more than two days between his annual natal day celebration and another renewal of the Kentucky Derby. He learned the difference between the old yellow, pink, and grey pasteboards at the greatest track that ever was, Bay Meadows in San Mateo, California. He enjoys reading (especially Ring Lardner, 17th-century religious poetry [e.g., John Milton, George Herbert, Henry Vaughan], Otto Friedrich, and Robertson Davies), listening to music (especially the violin repertoire and vocal/choral liturgical works), solving cryptic crosswords, and writing an occasional stanza or two of light verse.

In both the thoroughbred and standardbred sports, San Mateo Slim has caught some notable boxcars: Lashkari at 108.60 (inaugural Breeders’ Cup Turf), Jerell’s Girl at 155.80 and Jerrio at 196.00 (both at Bay Meadows), and, where the Woodbine twineth, a sidewheeler named Siddall at 130.80.

2011 P.A.I.H.L. CHAMPIONS
2012 Regular Season Finish: 2nd - 425 points
2012 Playoffs: Quarter-Finals Bye, Semi-Finals 5th

TEAM BIO
With the advent of the Zenyatta era, thaskalos Gm10 suffered a great deal of ribbing from some of the Rachel Alexandra fans on this board...who were questioning their handicapping prowess after they declared that Zenyatta was a "Great" horse...
We formed the team -- and entered the contest last year -- to prove that we knew a thing or two about this game...they became the 2011 P.A.I.H.L. Champions.

Team Zenyatta brings together a truly international group from three different countries. They use their own individual skills to select horses each week and propose them to the captain each week which rotates. The Captain then sets the picks for the week.

The 2011 championship team saw the departure of Charlie D, but Team Zenyatta hasn't missed a beat in 2012 picking up Free Agent maclr11, a young teenage capper from Assiniboia Downs. The 2012 version were seemingly at the top of the leaderboard throughout the season, finishing 2nd overall in regular season play.

THE SUNSHINE PROS PROFILE

Beachbabe - Turkoman - PICSIX

Years in League: Second
2011 Regular Season Finish: 30th - 198 points
2011 Playoffs: Did Not Qualify
2012 Regular Season Finish: 19th - 340 points
2012 Playoffs: Quarter-Finals 6th, Semi-Finals 1st

TEAM BIO
It all started in 2010, when Beachbabe and Turkoman would post in the Selections Forum, exchanging several positive and encouraging posts, after having nailing some winning plays. When the contest was announced the idea of them joining forces was mutual. PICSIX quickly joined the mix and the Sunshine Pros were formed.

Beachbabe was appointed Captain and has taken on the leadership role for the team. Team chemisty was immediate with each individual member being a great team player. All three players use Brisnet PP's to cap the races and the team uses a 3-3-2 format to distribute the weekly workload.

TURKOMAN
Hometown: Miami, Florida
Home Tracks: Gulfstream Park & Calder Race Course
First race track experience was at Hialeah Park in the 80's. Enjoys the "pencil and paper" approach using Brisnet PP's to handicap the races. Turkoman started playing this game about 28 years ago.

Enjoys horse racing and the handicapping aspect of the game which dominates a large amount of his time. Also enjoys reading, bowling, and watching sports (especially baseball).

Beachbabe
An Army brat who group with 4 brothers. Currently living in Pennsylvania after a time in Florida. Learned handicapping from two real good friends (both older guys) when they saw how interestedshe was, looking over their shoulder.

Used DRF (paper) till it got too expensive and now uses Brisnet Ultimate PP's (get them free with my Twinspires acc't); and sometimes the DRF on-line pp's. Uses a little of everything including recent form, speed & pace figs; trainer intent; class; etc.

Hobbies include golf, tennis, fishing and poker.

PICSIX
Age: 44
Residence: Gibsonville, NC
Hometrack: Fonner Park in Grand Island
Handicapping Methods: In order of importance; class, pace, trip/bias and final speed figure.
Racing Achievements: Currently back into ownership after being away for about 10 years. Races in Florida under the business name, JMS Investments LLC.
Hobbies: Horse Racing, Poker and Golf

2012 Playoffs: Quarter-Finals 7th, Semi-Finals 4th

TEAM BIO
The Parlay Kings first hooked up as opponents in The Ultimate Parlay Challenge where they matched witts consistently. With the introduction of the P.A.I.H.L. Maumeeriverangler, ndsc32 and Jay Trotter connected based on a mutual respect developed via the many times they faced each other -- better to join 'em than face 'em. The team uses a 3-3-2 system of dividing up the handicapping duties.

Maumeeriverangler
Age: 64
Born: Toledo, Ohio
Handicapping: A wide variety of tools
Hobbies: Fishing & playing the horses

Introduced to horse racing in 1969 at Raceway Park in Toledo and has loved it ever since. Mary Bacon used to ride there! When Raceway closed he went to Hazel Park and DRC in Detroit then Thistledown; Waterford Park (Mountaineer); Latonia (Turfway Park); Tampa Bay Downs; and Hialeah where he saw The Slew on Seattle Slew Day.

Jay Trotter
Age: 51
Home Town: Brandon, Manitoba
Home Track: Assiniboia Downs (ASD)
Profession: Self-employed
Married 29 years with 4 children and 1 grandchild
Handicapping Method: Paper & pencil using Brisnet Ultimate PPs; Just starting to learn the Sartin Methodology with RDSS
Hobbies: Hockey, Golf, Reading, Travel and Handicapping

I was first introduced to the game with a family trip to Assiniboia Downs at the age of ten and caught the bug ever since; and enjoy stopping by tracks in different cities whenever the chance presents itself.

Really became immersed in the game the last 6 years or so when I took to the game online. My natural talents as an "organizer" slowly took over and I began hosting handicapping contests, first with The Ultimate Parlay Challenge and now the PaceAdvantage Challenge Series including the P.A.I.H.L.. Greatest handicapping achievement was winning my way to the 2012 World Series of Handicapping in Las Vegas.

Years in League: First
2012 Regular Season Finish: 10th - 355 points
2012 Playoffs: Quarter-Finals 4th, Semi-Finals 3rd

TEAM BIO
Texas RDSS is very proud to be part of the RDSS organization originally created by Doc Sarten who was a pioneer and icon of the game. Doc's articles, audios and videos are a huge influence for their game and their lives beyond handicapping. The team believes Doc Sartin is like that "special teacher" you had in High School who changed your life and set you on the right path forever.

The team is pleased that Doc chose Ted Craven to carry on his work and continue to share the many handicapping lessons he developed. The new RDSS release is a testament to the continued dedication of the RDSS organization and Ted specifically.

People such as Doc, Ted, The Hat Bradshaw and RichieP have made immeasurable contributions to the craft of handicapping and are deserving of all the recognition they receive. TEXAS RDSS are "humbled" and "proud" to be RDSS guys.

Isso mesmo !!!

I was born in Richmond, California --- I just remembered. I was wont to linger at the neighboring Haskell household, admiring the matriarch as she laved away at the Whirlpool machine (in amana-rough speakin').

My sojourn in Brasil featured a stint as an assistant to a dentista veterinaria serving orphaned piranhas. I also drove a taxi under the nom de guerre of Passos Dias Aguiar ... ;) . My job as a counselor to teenage Brasilian virgins earned for me the nickname of O Restaurador Meitague (The Maytag Repairman). Rampant frustration ensued when I took a job in Colombia as a procurer for an avian-intensive pet store. I spent all my days (until my dismissal) chasing the prized Cali Pigeons; alas, to no avail. Oh, well ... you can lead a Cartagena ...

I am a member of the Merry Marvel Marching Society, of Christians for Baha'u'llah, and of People for the Ethical Treatment of Heavily Armed Survivalists. I am a charter member of Burn Baby Burn, a loosely knit, generally ruly, often trepid band of globewarming squatters. Our frequent luaus feature gasoline-soaked truck tires in the cookfire. Mmm ... good cracker. (:Rubbing stummy.)

Castellano is very luck ......horse got bounced around in the final turn,,,,causing JC to have is foot slip out of the stirrup, resulting in losing balance and baling out of the saddle.........He is a fighter and is getting ready to ride in the Kentucky Oaks.
