Horse named GLOSS is 4-5 morning line; gets bet down to 1-9; as the gate opens, horse goes to 6-5. Halfway through the race the horse pulls up and doesn't finish. Nice show prices follow.

It looked like he broke poorly and then got roughed up a little into the first turn between horses.

Didn't look like anything serious, but some of these horses can't handle much. Didn't get a good view of him pulling up but did see he wasn't among the contenders.

I didn't notice it here but it is enraging when one of these favorites breaks poorly and can't win and the jockey rides home care-free to get a fourth. I think I saw the jockey urging before disappearing from the picture but I'm not going back to replay again.

Mountaineer is one of these tracks where you better love the horse on your own and not let the Odds influence you much (maybe laying off ice cold horses, but not by betting favs), because there are some medium sized bettors(large in these pools) who like to play games.
