i have multicap files that have the property of "read-only" (i think they were 2002 files that were overwrited when i downloaded 2003 files at the same track) . i tried opening these up in some software programs, including multicaps but to no avail. is there anyway to use these files. otherwise they are just taking up memory on my hard drive.

I think you could just change the property ?

Help Ralph.

My MC files have two options on the first tab-General.
Read-only or Hidden. Niether box is checked.
Go to the Advanced button and check the box for File is ready for Archiving.
Assuming you are using XP.

If using W98, just check the Archive box. You can then use it.

just right click on the file and hit properties.....

uncheck "hidden" "read only" etc..... and tell me what happens with them. Unless they are on a CD......if they are on a cd you must copy them to the hard drive first and then change their properties.......

when i right click to properties and uncheck all the property options (read only, hidden, and archives and apply it)
what happens is i copy and paste to my software folder for unzipped files but it goes down a "black hole". nothing happens. it doesn't get pasted to the software folder.
