What's the opinion on this horse? I am not worth a damn on evaluating these horses that have run overseas. Any opinions appreciated.

His trainer won't be here for the derby. That says it all for me.

Why would he come over whe Camelot the best horse in his barn runs in the 2,0000 guineas that day. That's the first leg of the English triple crown and aiden will have multiple runners

I used the horse in my Pic 3s on BC Day thinking that being by Scat Daddy, he may have been better suited to dirt. But as we have seen, despite the fact Scat Daddy was a dirt horse, his offspring may be better suited to turf and synthetic. As for Daddy Long Legs he did not appear to like racing on dirt one bit. Looks like a total toss out.

When was the last time any of those trainers failed to saddle their horses in the Kentucky Derby? This isn't the third race at Oaklawn.

I think you have to watch the Euro shipper's warm ups closely . O'Brien says DLL was "lost" the first time out on dirt .
He also added the Scat Daddy runners improve from two to three. That's his observation.

Can't hurt to throw him in exotics if he looks good Derby Day. His female side does not impress me for the distance . Under O'Brien's handling , he's already outrun that pedigree.

I liked him at first. However, it is supposed to be 80 degrees this Saturday and he has been training in Europe where it is colder. I wonder if the 48 hours in quarantine will be sufficient time for him to adjust to the heat.

He isn't a dirt horse. He doesn't run like one, and his one try was by far his worst race ever.

What part of "he has three runners including the short priced favourite in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket on Saturday" do you not get?

Think he was in the right place today. Some horse he has in Camelot, with his son in the irons.

Of course he was in the right place. His horse had no shot in the Derby. Thus he didn't want to be there when the horse ran up the track.

Daddy Long Legs is far from being the star of Ballydoyle 2012.
He'll win a race, or two, this year. I doubt that he amounts to much.

Worst case scenario for him is that he winds up a rabbit in G1 races for his superiors during this year's campaign.

The upside is that this fellow could earn major coin at Meydan next year at 4.
Even without the Dubai Classic, he could win some valuable races there, imo.

Camelot must be an absolute beast. He's 4/5 at William Hill for the Investec (Epsom?) Derby and a mere 4/1 for the Arc...5 months before the race. Nobody else is lower than 12/1 for the Arc.

O'Brien seems to have an abundance of stars in his stable this year.
Of course, that is the case most years - but 2012 looks very strong.

He said that he took it easy on Camelot before the Guineas.
Scary to think what he'll be like at 100%.......

I don't think Sea of Stars was 4/1 for the Arc 5 months before the race. Is Camelot that good, or are the Europeans down this year? Or is it a combination?

Probably both...no one has risen from the ranks as yet.
Who knows - maybe another of the Ballydoyle 3yo's will become a star.
