NY forces winners to expose themselves as well. They claim it's to prove to the general public that the results are on the up and up, and that nobody's connected brother-in-law is taking down these mega jackpots..

Nebraska does too. I understand why they don't want to have their pictures all over the news media. If the the lottery keeps their secret, every third cousin is going to know about it soon enough. So is every huckster. There is no point in trying to keep it a secret.
