9th@Mountaineer- 8F - OC 15K/N1X purse $20,000
with invaders from Tampa, Oaklawn, Indy,& Turfway,
looks like an good betting race if field stays intact.
#2) Stimulus Plan (6/1ml)- Disappointed as fave @Tampa last out.
6YO faced toughies @Calder last year, Pvt.Purchase might need softer.
#3) Canook (7/2ml)- 5YO stretches 550Y & reunites with Parker. Only
race at distance OK third @Churchill in slop when claimed for $10K.
Cozy Post, fits on class. Parker will hurt value.
#4) Sooner Humor (15/1ml)- 4YO returns from $5K N3L Win @Oaklawn
@8F. Broke maiden here @6F in MSW company, but may need softer foes.
#5) Marble Cliff (8/1ml)- 7YO returns to site of all 3 Career wins off 10month
layoff with SIX Works posted, including 6F Beulah Bullet. Ready To Rumble!
#6) Lightning Road (5/1ml)- 8YO Loves Mountain Main, in Great Form, but
gets real class test vs. some of these. Tri/Super key?
#7) Smartthinkin'Tony (10/1ml)- 9YO caught Woodard/Hayes up & comer
in last. 12-63 Lifetime, but only 1 Win in last 14 starts. Best underneath.
#1) Very Fair (POE,2/1ml)- 5YO Cal-Bred drops to all-time low tag, twice
beaten chalk @Turfway. Never run on fast dirt, has one 3rd over Slop in
off-the-turfer @SantaAnita. Seems like underlay as entry trying new ground.
#8) Tsunaami Stu (6/1ml)- 5YO Ohio-Bred nosed Lightning Road last out,
but was only 3-horse field. Has won 6-of-last-10, but think a few here are
tougher. Key with #6 under in Tri/Super?
#1A) Gold Trader (POE,2/1ml)- 4YO Johannesburg Gelding was recent private
purchase from Powerful Phipps Stable to uber-successful Woodard/Hayes
team. Only Dirt effort an off-the-turfer @Parx. Eligible to be protected by
conditions of race, Yet offered for $15K Tag off very good Turfway effort.
BULLET Works abound, including teaser 4F work two days ago. Red-Tag Sale?
Underlay regardless for an N2L runner facing seasoned, if less speedy foes.
(MY FIRST REACTION: looks like i'll go with rested MARBLE CLIFF in DDs)

10th@Mountaineer- 8F Clm.$5,000, N3L purse $7,800
Two horses step up from N2L condition, while one drops back
down to this level after 3rd for $10K @6F. Not much pace in PPs.
#1) Midnight Legacy (9/2ml)- 3YO closer has room to improve 2nd off break.
Both wins locally, rider rode last win for Gelding. cozy post.
#2) The Party's Over (6/1ml)- 2-for-25 stalker logical,must use Ex/Tri.
#3) Mr.Bristol (7/2ml)- Steps up off nifty win as fave. tougher sledding.
#4) Skippy Dude (10/1ml)- Other 3YO has led @4F mark in last three here,
always at same plodding +:50 half. Low % coneections. Tri/Super filler?
#5) Gojira (8/1ml)- 4YO steps up, returns after +4 months w/2 works.
Both races here last year solid, but likely needs this one. Tab for later.
#6) Bluegrass Dreamer (8/1ml)- 4YO goes 2 sprints=route for Top tandem.
You must be dreamer smoking Carl Spackler's Hybrid Bluegrass to think that
we'll see even HALF the 8/1ML price. Half-mile splits say, "Go To Lead!"
#7) Cash Advance (3/1ml)- Stalker stretches off closing 3rd for $10K N3L
tag, trainer 2-6 with move, but 0-16 at meet. Underlay @ML price, will use
under.
#8) Mybrotherron (12/1ml)- 6YO's both wins here, stuck on rail last out.
hasn't won in quite a while, another possible super filler if price right.
#9) Rhyd Y Blew Inn (30/1ml)- 7YO goes long 2nd time in 35 starts. Next.
#10) Bellamy Flyer (12/1ml)- 4YO dueled for lead stretching out in last.
Goes third off layoff from Awful Post. Positive rider change,IMO.
(Early Look: #1 has lots of room to improve, but 3YO only gets 2LB break.
Keying #1 & #6 in Late DD & Pick-4, & will fool around in Super tonite!
SEE YOU AFTER SCHOOL!)
