I was in Saratoga over the weekend betting harness and this race reminded me of the crazy Kenneth Devaux race that someone here posted, here, the difference being Devaux is a nobody and Brennan is a Hall of Famer.

Brennan on a 14-1 Pena horse, runs an absolute suicide mission, killing the favorite and taking himself out of the race in the process. The first quarter went 26.1 when Brennan had about 5 lengths in which to take a tuck.

What was different about this race is that Brennan actually got to the top only to quickly get passed by the first over horse and end up distanced.

He should've had to answer some questions over this one.

I was pissed about Brennan's decision to push on in that race. I had him and the favorite who he wiped out when stopping in the double so i got screwed out of my last 6 bucks. I don't think the drive was fishy because 75% of the time he is going to gun out of the gate and have the lead by the quarter regardless of odds.

You have to take into consideration the fact that during the last two weeks, plus last night, the racing at Yonkers is extremely speed biased. In fact, it's the most speed favoring I've seen any track in a long time. 81% of the winners were either first or second at the quarter.

The 1st and 2nd quarters of the race were much faster than any of those of the Levy races that same night. Brennan had to know that by getting to the top he was gonna finish last.

Look at the exacta price of the race. You don't think it's abnormally small considering the win and place prices?
