Is there a wager calculator for Mac's? I've found several for PC's, but none for my Mac..

Thanks in advance,
Slew

The Del Mar website has a wagering tools sections that contains some things for Mac and some web-based calculators that you can use. I haven't tried all of them, though...

I have generally found it very hard to find any kind of racing software for Mac. I keep a small HP netbook on hand just for racing stuff. I don't like having to go back and forth between two computers and two OS's, but not much choice for the meantime.

Are you talking about emulators, like Virtual PC or something like that? I've tried using them on my old PowerBook G4 and they were very clumsy...response time lagged and often caused my machine to hang. To be fair, I haven't tried to use them on my new MacBook...are there any you can recommend?

I've tried porting one of the racing programs to a Mac app by using Winebottler but it didn't take.

I would like to see a native app for Mac OS X, that was designed to run on OS X. Maybe in the future as the Apple operating system becomes more ubiquitous, something will come about...

Virtualbox has a Mac version. It's free.

I use the PC version to run Windows XP on Windows 7 64. Works great.

I use VM Ware Fusion (similar to Parallels) on my iMac. Not clumsy at all. Reasonably speedy if you have maxed out the RAM, and don't try to run too many Mac applications at the same time.

Things have changed A LOT since the old ones you've last tried, so I think.

Yes, I'm sure you are right. It's been a while since I've tried using a PC emulator and they had stopped making software for my old laptop a while ago, so I wasn't able to try any new ones.

I am going to give a few of these a test drive and see how they work.

Apple provides a utility called bootcamp that will partiion part of your hard drive and you can run a native copy of windows right on your mac. No emulation needed
