Pompano Park up tonight!
R1: 6,8,4......Psycho Babe-6/1 ML......Hennessey on board and hoping to get this filly out of the 0/11 column. Got her best lifetime mark last out, unfortunately it was at a qualifier. Will need to produce similar here to have a shot.
R2: 5,8,4......Special Bay-8/1 ML......Ranger jumps aboard and she showed flashes of early speed last out from the eight hole and held on gamely until the 3Q pole before she tired. Let's me know she has something in her and Ranger is the man to bring the best out of her.
R3: 2,9,3......Mississippi Beauty-8/1 ML......Made some slow, but steady progress first race out. Gets another try and at a much better post position. Qualifying time lets me know this horse does have some umph to it and may have been hampered by the post position last out. Mr. Trifecta's "Going to the Sizzler" Pick of the Night!
R4: 2,8,5......Eyewitness Account-7/2 ML......Got close last out, but couldn't catch the #8 here. I see a reversal of fortune here with the #2 just getting up on the #8. Hennessey should be able to get a prime spot here.
R5: 1,5,7......Sweet Fancy Moses-6/1 ML......Lost by a neck last out, but gets the golden post here. Driver change isn't for the better, but willing to take a chance here with Ross Jr. No respect on the ML for the horse, so should get a good price. Mr. Trifecta's Pick of the Night!
R6: 4,1,5......Sweeney Hall-9/2 ML......Returning from a needed rest, Ranger is onboard Sweeney Hall. Has been able to cash in five similar races a few months back, one of which he won. First off the layoff is tough to win on sometimes, but Ranger should beable to get this gelding to do it.
R7: 7,5,6......Stars And Sites-5/1 ML......Clements onboard after the new claim. Cromer is a great trainer, hitting at 23% on the year. Tried to wire the field last out, but ran out of gas. Nine hole tough to do that from. Gets a little bit of a reprieve here. Horse does have the speed to get to the lead and will need to bide its time to get the pace it needs. Mr. Trifecta's Bomber of the Night!
R8: 1,3,5......Hurrican Howard-4/1 ML......Dropping in class here and should fit in nicely. Has cashed against tougher company and has won multiple times on a level just below this. Definitely a case of Goldilocks here, one level is too hot, one level is too cold, is this level just right?
R9: 5,2,6......Speed O Begonia-5/1 ML......Did well last out despite the ten hole. Really like the ride Plano gave him and will get rewarded with the five hole here. Hasn't cashed in well over four months. That last race I am hoping gave this gelding some confidence and if can get a similar ride here, should fit nicely.
R10: 1,8,6......Dee Day Fame-3/1 ML......Cashed last three races and has been in great form and driven well by Clements. Getting a try here at the golden post, should be 2nd off the lead from no doubtedly the #6 who loves the lead, but seems to run out of gas more often then not.
R11: 3,5,4......Thaacaretheeso-4/1 ML......Sick last out, but gets that little extra rest that could help. Draws the three hole here and has been doing well as of late, cashing last 3 of four. I like the return and post trip here.
