Can anyone kindly point me in the direction of updated listings for each track's winning post positions?

Specifically, I am interested in Sunland Park.

Thx!

Those stats posted by Striker indicate posts 1,2, and 3 are brutal in routes, and the farther outside the better.

Sprints are not quite as bad, but the trend is the same.

Thank you for posting the stats, Striker.

Is this available online somewhere or do you keep your own stats?

Seems like another case of "very basic info hidden/unavailable to the betting public for no godd reason" to me.

Or am I missing something obvious when I try to Google this info or check at the usual industry stat sites?

Check this link out, unfortunately Sunland Park is not one of the tracks Bris covers but covers post postions of the more major tracks:

Striker, my brain must be slow today...

Could you kindly point me to that specific post position stats location within Equibase? I don't see it listed under any of the headings, including "Stats" and the (separate for no good reason) "Stats Central."

Thanks in advance...

Not sure if this is the easiest way but here goes

1. Enter any horse that you know has run at Sunland Park in the horse search box. Let's go with Daddy Nose Best in an example
2. Click on the results(green bar) underneath Daddy Nose Best name
3. Click on Sunland Park which is underlined as his last track he raced at
4. Click on 12/6/2011 underneath Post Position stats for the meet

There you have it.

If you click on the track name, and the meet is current, you can get post position stats.

Thanks, CJ.

Hmmm...Under "Racing Dates"...Not exactly the first (or even 31st) place I'd look for post position statistics.

Every time I open the Equibase home page I shudder at its cluttered, illogical layout. This the gatekeeper of our sport's most crucial handicapping data?

A 15-year-old computer geek with an afternoon of free time could probably to an amazing redesign for that site.

For the so-called data-keepers of the game, they sure are lax about it - mixing everything into sprint or route is just about worthless data.

I wonder whose nephew is in charge of tack data over there?
