Here's my Quick-Look Analysis of the Double Sequence.
(Final Odds Will Determine my Late DD - Vertical Wagers)
-------------------------------------------------------
9th@Mountaineer- 6F F&M, Alw.$20k,N2L
1- Devilsfrostreport (15/1ml)- Returns to Mountain & steps back up to allowance foes,
coming off Career Beyer Top v.Claimers on Poly @Turfway.May need softer foes.
2- Sandipat (20/1)- Back from Winter Hibernation, broke maiden for $15K tag.
Others more likely.
3- Sweet De Baron (7/5)- Last seen in Ill-Bred Stakes Route 4 months ago, Three local works,
broke maiden @19/1 in only local start. Likely underlay off Muddy romp here last August.
4- Jumpthefire (8/1)- JBM wired weaker last out, interim work. Improvement off last could put her in Tri hunt.
5- Key Keys Jump Shot (5/1)- Mirror closing efforts going 110Y shorter.
Parker keeps faith, may be closer early, value not part of equation. lookin' @5/2 if live.
6- Holiday Dreaming (8/1ml)- JBM from Laurel tries Allowance foes first time.
Virginia-Bred beat field of 4YOs, but Beyers say no.
7- Fortune Diva (2/1)- 3YO Bandini filly makes 2012 debut after trying stakes foes at Turfway too tough in Dec.
Broke Maiden here impressively vs. favored KeyKeys JS in debut.
1 work a month since, at ML price, i'll try to beat, but include in Pick-4.
---------------------------------------------------------
10th@Mountaineer- 6F Clm.$5K, N1Y-6months (10/3/11)
1- Teton Star (15/1ml)- Closer filled out Super last two, similar likely.
2- Pegasus Ena (5/1)- NY invader drops, cuts back 510Yards, one local 3F work on display.
Won 4 in row last year, i'll let closer beat me here.
3- Baton Rouge (6/1)- Turfway prep last month in a "Non-winners of Three in 24 Months" condition.
Ernesto Oro has had some crafty rides recently, & while Gelding has only 4 Wins, fits well here.
4- Wyo Bandito (6/1)- Gelding flashed good speed last out, tired late.
Further improvement third off layoff could make Wyo tough speed threat here.
5- Jet Flag (12/1)- 9YO deep closer cuts back 440Y, not a good combo.
Veteran has done little since trainer change last Nov. El-Paso.
6- Believe Dat (10/1)- Stalker goes 3rd off layoff for low % outfit.
Could be used in Super/SuperHi5 filler mode, not much more.
7- Allensworth (5/2)- 8YO won off similar vaca in 2011, Seven wins last 25 starts.
Only 1-for-11 @6F, but that was race mentioned above. Bullet Work ensures underlay status, must use in P4.
8- Lift Off (9/2)- 5YO Gelding goes from N4L condition to N1-6months, but fits condition by a week.
Parker rides, hurting value in pools. Should be stalking early.
9- Shive's Success (15/1)- Deep Closer cuts back, drops from N3-12months.
Hasn't shown much since being claimed from Top Connections last Sept. Success Unlikely.
10- Justifier (10/1)- One-Paced 6YO has been 3rd-6th in all 7 starts since claim last Sept. Super/SuperHi5 about the BCS.
