Carroll Shelby is one of the greatest. Glad to see this come out and hope he can consider it his 90th birthday present to America. Wonder what the compression ratio and pistons he is using. Got to imagine would need top notch gas, maybe Cam II. The Gt 500 is an enigma is American hot rodding. Always like watching the nice ones being bid at the big auctions.
John Hannibal would you put a V8 in the 240 or tweak the six. Had a 280z in High School and man that was one fun car. Turbocharged the six and had a Porsche body kit. Should have been killed in the little green rocket many times but it was so damn nimble.

I'm a traditionalist with the Z. A few 40DCOE Webers and some other minor swaps and I'm happy!

I was a big fan of the Z and I still keep thinking that one of these days I'm going to find another nice old one when I can afford it and keep this one in a little better shape for a little longer than those that I drove the hell out of as a youngsta.

WHEN I was aa kid I had an old 1962 ford falcon ranchero that I put a 312 into with a street legal racing cam and a set of pipes. Drove that into oblivion.

Just for fun I put a set of glass pac cherry bombs on it to make it crackle. On saturday nights we had a "track" and everyone got together for a BBQ and home drag meets.

Remember the ditchem contests and the egg throwing?

God how I wish those days were back!
