I spent 20 years in California, but I don't plan on going back. Aliens from below the border drain the state's finances and are bullet proof when it comes to being deported. Now they don't even need a drivers license. Think any of them have insurance? Let the Hollywood loonies take care of them.

Outrageous! As bad (or even worse, since police are directly responsible for day-to-day administration of the laws) as that Federal judge who questioned Alabama's new immigration law, saying that it amounted to "forced expulsion" of illegal immigrants.

Have commented on this situation in earlier threads. See post # 6 in the "Just got worse for California" thread to why, and post #214 in the "So you dont want to deport them" thread for another link. Put bluntly, it is politics and demographics, pure and simple. The politicos are terrified of offending the huge bloc of Latino voters because they vote almost overwhelmingly Democratic. The inmates have been running the huge asylum called California for quite some time now, and will continue to do so unless there is a huge reversal of public opinion. Having called SoCal my home since age 6, it is difficult to leave, but seem to have no other option. I actually feel that my life will soon be at risk if I stay. When the balloon finally goes up there will be disorder on the scale that will exceed what has happened in Greece. In the meantime the !^#@)% liberals coo and gurgle and say that everything will be fine if we just raise taxes.
