Hopefully another great night!
R1: 4,3,8......Storm Capital-7/2 ML......Some pretty bad horses in this one. Storm Capital looks the best of the worse having showing some improvements last out. Gets a reasonable post this time to try to close the deal.
R2: 5,3,7......Guiding Hand-4/1 ML......Last two out tried to wire the field only to get caught. Third time's the charm for Plano here and should be able to make that wish come true.
R3: 1,7,5......Power N Speed-4/1 ML......Tried to wire the field two back but got caught. Santeramo back aboard and will be trying to duplicate that again. If Santeramo can get this gelding to the front, question will be whether he can hang on.
R4: 7,1,8......Wholeftthegateopen-4/1 ML......Draws the seven hole, but this horse has won and cashed in this spot multiple times. Drop in class as well should help. Ingraham still aboard, so if any horse has a shot on the outside, this one does. Will try for the wire to wire victory, just needs to have enough gas to get there. Mr. Trifecta's Pick of the Night!
R5: 1,2,3......Bareley Famous-4/1 ML......I know, I know! A race in which Sea Drill is in and I am not picking him! As much as I love Sea Drill, I love money more. You won't be winning money betting on the favorite so as tough as he is, we are going to try to beat him with Barely Famous. Two back, that race was better then it shows, despite being beat by 8 1/2 lengths. Rompaway Brandon is a good horse and Barely Famous was on the move forward despite not having a chance to catch. Gets the golden post here with Hennessey aboard. Hoping to get decent odds.
R6: 2,1,4......Hurricane Howard-5/1 ML......Two hole start here should allow this gelding to pick where he wants to be. Has great closing speed and should be sitting in 3-5th position to make his run.
R7: 2,3,5......Linda Lovelegs-8/1 ML......Big drop in class here and has been competitive at this level, cashing in a few times. Lareau knows this horse and the two whole helps big here. Should be a sneaky play. Mr. Trifecta's Bomber of the Night!
R8: 4,5,1......Dontgetnsamsonsway-5/1 ML......Not much early speed here so I will go with a pack runner. Sat nicely behind the leader, but could never get to the front. Gets a third shot from the 4th hole here with every race progressing better. Time for the winner's circle?
R9: 7,5,3......Smooth Muscles-7/2 ML......Made a great move at the 3Q pole to take the lead last time and got caught by the #5 horse in this race. Get's the same post position as last time and should duplicate that performance here to have a shot. Ranger upgrade to driver can make that happen.
R10: 6,7,9......No Mo Parking-3/1 ML......Will be tough to beat here. Hasn't won lately but has gotten close on the last three. Paquet aboard and maybe the driver change will do some good. Should be sitting off the leader and ready to pounce!
