Charles Adler, a Canadian opinion show TV host and columnist says:

"The Israelis have figured it all out. We don't need to grope little kids and Grandmas."

Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv handles security so much different than shaking down kids or having 95 year old Jean Weber remove her adult diaper.

The fact that this country has refused to follow Israel's smart, common sense lead on this issue tells me that the whole policy was put in place with the ulterior motive of conditioning the public to quietly and passively accept more overt tyrannical control by government.

Either that or total incompetence.
It's our government - what are the odds it is either evil or stupid?
