Dominguez may be out 6-8 weeks, so who get the mount on April 7th.

Castellano and Leparoux might be available for the mount but what happens in May if Dominguez is still out since both of the afore mentioned are locked in on other mounts.

Would have to have hands like a surgeon to keep him in check and not disturb his natural running style. Getting tight for time. Could Jose Lezcano do the job. Alan Garcia? Jesus Canstanon? Would have to think the decision is nerve-wracking. Big picture would say the jock will be KY based with the connections.

Wonder how many agents have called Maker, inquiring about the mount.

Victor Lebron, the man from whose mouth Dominguez stole the bread.

:) {For the humor impaired, yeah I'm looking at you Carpus.}

who other than Calvin Bo"rail". Don't know if he has any mounts that are Derby bound at this time. Get them all there healthy first and then weight your options.
Still have Cornelio Velasquez, Junior Alvarado, and Alan Garcia riding in New York atop the jock list

Shame that Ronnie Hansen isn't around to take the call......

I'd say Gomez as he is looking for a derby mount but not sure if Maker and him have kissed and made up after that Keeneland issue in 2010.

Alpha is going (at least today) to the Louisiana Derby....guessing the connections got spooked with the talent in the Wood and the possibility they may be shut out of the earnings window after they skipped the Gotham. I would put Cornelio on him.

Leparoux has the mount on Alpha for the LA Derby.

Two weeks not six to eight.

I think Ramon is rushing it in order to keep a Derby mount.

Fracture or whatever...two weeks seems awfully short.
I may be wrong, but let's watch him closely and see if his production slips.

Knowing how quick the competition offers their services I'm surprised the agent didn't say day to day.

So this is gonna be a great excuse for Dr. Hansen to use when/if Hansen doesn't win the Wood. I can imagine the blog post now!

Worked for Animal Kingdom last year. Hansen is good on the poly starting his career at Turfway. The owner said he liked the spacing of the races better

Alpha and Hansen defect to other races, leaves Gemologist as the probable favorite, Aqueduct takes a hit in marquee attractions.

Seems like musical chairs this year.

With Hansen out, I think Alpha might be in.

As I remember things, it wasn't so much a prep as a goal and he was entered in the Derby as an afterthought.
