Orfevre won the Triple Crown in Japan last year so maybe he was just that much better than the field even though it was a G2.The result confirms the 1-10 odds were just but someone probably made a fortune laying him.

Didn't know that! Well yep looked a little fishy then!

I 've watched it a few times and does not look like problem was caused by the jockey.

There either must have been a problem with the bridle/bit or horse swallowed tongue which distracted horse for a few seconds. When the horse got everything back right again, it took off and almost won.

Kenichi Ikezoe has repeatedly said he couldn't settle him (he has also apologized about a thousand times).

I'm not making excuses... I was shocked he didn't win. Just repeating stuff that's out there in the Asian press.
