A little advise, and maybe some inspiration for those who find themselves in a similar situation.

I have a nice losing streak going at this track. One for fourteen, and that was chalk.

This is were a lot of players run into trouble. What was once working well, is not working now. The typical player tends to make things worse by over betting the bank or playing horses (or exotics) that do not really qualify as a play.

Am I doing something wrong? Has the track changed? Or was is just a fluke that I did well earlier? All of these doubts cross your mind, and you can begin to lose confidence in what you are doing. Sometimes you will review the last few days to see if something else would have worked better, (always an answer there, Zig&Zag) or worse, your small bank went bust and you can no longer play.

I have been at this a very long time, and have played out this scenario, hundreds, if not thousands of times. All of my efforts to stop long losing streaks has failed thus far. I am beginning to think there is nothing to be done about it. I still have some small hope with the right combination of "spot" plays.

As long as you have done the proper research before you started wagering on your selection method, and have supported it with the proper sized bank, you only need to understand the nature of losing streaks and how to survive them.

As this is new track for me, I started with a $1000 bank to support a $20 win wager, or a 50 unit bank. Normally this would be a one hundred unit bank with a back-up, but I did not have enough data for this track to fully validate the play, and this was the maximum I cared to put "at risk". It came about as a challenge for this particular track. I will admit, it plays a little tougher than I thought it would. Lots of horses coming off a layoff makes it difficult to ascertain current form.

Never the less, there is an automatic shut down, (for review) if at anytime the bank loses forty units from a previous high, and I am well short of that.

As long as your selection process gets you on some high odd horses from time to time, you should remain confident that things will turn around in time. Just make sure you are still there when it does.

So, onwards, and hopefully upwards, and pray I do not set a record for most consecutive losses in a row, which stands at 38. Wow! Or a record for a total bank draw down, which stands at 64 units. Another "Wow", and this was with some very consistent spot plays that I have been playing for years. This game will make you look foolish from time to time. Maybe not today.

Today's selections.

Good luck to all.

My thoughts you hit this track to early now day 10, And you hit the mud and slop not good. This track is not a roullete wheel. Fast track or all selections are off.

this track is one of the toughest to play, but with the rebate it is one of the lowest takeout tracks. i take plenty of notes with the way the tracks is playing on a particular night. i like watching the first 2 races every night before i get involved. the place also pays 2.20 for third, so there are going to be lots of chances to go on or against the bridge jump money.

the other night there was $158k to show on a never win 4 life horse for $5000. you really can't ask for more. the money just fly's into the 3rd spot in that place.
