Sorry, 3rd at Gulfstream.

It was an easy romp, played out like i expected. Currency Swap tried to give him a go but was outclassed. I was expecting more from Jordan`s Image but faded in the stretch.

He pulled off fairly well at the end, but it's hard to tell much with the small field..u can look at the splits and make ur own assessment but since he was nt really asked.. hard to tell.

Interior fractions of 46.33 off a slow 1st quarter on a good track with a small field. Gemologist looked good but could not have had an easier trip. Let's see how the speed figures come out.

24.93 47.58 1:11.26 1:35 .95

24.93 22.65 23.68 24.69

Not bad coming off of a layoff. Todd's options are rather limited for graded stakes earnings. The Wood probably comes up too soon. That probably leaves him with the Arkansas Derby or the Blue Grass.

Agree. Phony race, reminds me of Uncle Mo's 3 year old debut in the Timely Writer.

The 1/4 wasn't really that slow if you consider the configuration at Gulfstream.

The 1/4 wasn't really that slow if you consider the configuration at Gulfstream.

Out of the chute and the first 1/4 appears to be completely straight, so you'd think it would be fast unless the run-up is short. Looking back through past mile races at GSP the times do seem disproportionally slower than the 6 furlong races.

I don't have quarter average times for GSP so I can't say for sure but 24.93 appears to be on the slower side of the mean of the first 1/4 time in mile dirt races but I see what you're getting at.

To be fair I wasn't disparaging Gemologist but pointing out what appeared to be an easy trip.

The run-up for 8f races at GP is darn near 0. Very different from the other one turn distances.
