Ordell Brasse

#81 of the Baltimore Colts- NFL Champions 1958 and 1958.

His son Andrew is a bartender at a local sports bar/lounge in Parkville Md. named Pappas. Ordell was there today(he lives in Florida) and at age 80 looks great. I find it amazing how these guys can relate things that we as fans would never be privvy to. He told me how coach Weeb Ewbank prepared the '58 Colts for overtime in the event that that scenario unfolded. During the seaon as in seasons past there was no sudden death OT. Ordell said that the NYG were running around and in confusion during the 5-10 minute break after reg time and the start of OT. He also related some interesting things about Ray Berry, Unitas, and Marchetti.

I remember him. In my youth, I was a pure Colts fan. There was nobody like Johnny Unitas, but there were lots of stars. Like Lenny Moore, Berry, Marchetti, Big Daddy Libscomb (who died so tragically), and all the others.
