And here I thought GWB was making all that money from making the price of oil and gas go up...

Another manufactured lie from the left?

LBJ and his wife were broke school teachers when he started in congress. Who said that being in congress doesn't pay.

Wrong again.

In 1935, LBJ was appointed head of the Texas National Youth Administration, which enabled him to use the government to create education and job opportunities for young people. He resigned two years later to run for Congress

Rich republicans hire useful idiots to do their bidding rather run for office themselves. It is cheaper and there is no shortage of them available.;)

Isn't that far more ethical than being a one-percenter in office and than castigate other people?

The grand strategy is convincing those with little that self-sacrifice is the key to later reward.

It works.

Isn't that far more ethical than being a one-percenter in office and than castigate other people?Very few people are castigating people for making money. It is the way that some people make it and their griping about paying taxes that turn some people off. Very few people bitch about Steve Jobs getting rich. Now Dick Fuld,Jr, the former CEO of Lehman and his ilk, who reckless pursuit of bonus money threw the nation into a recession is another matter.

Lately, the record of those who try to buy an elected office for themselves is not good. It is easier to buy it for a stooge.

Obama is - he says the EVERYONE making over $250,000 a year is not paying their fair share.

Probably correct...But it's never been about fair. The more you make the better the chances you'll get to keep more of it. Tax codes aren't written by poor folk.

Obama is - he says the EVERYONE making over $250,000 a year is not paying their fair share. Saying that they are not paying their fair share of taxes is not the same as castigating people for making money.

Being the resident stooge here, perhaps we can pool our dough together and get you a public office. How are you with dogs?

Don't be too hard on him, Mack. He's busy celebrating the anniversary of The Communist Manifesto.
