and i bet the damn horse

WTF was that ride about??? ROdriguez rode him 5wide into the pace when he could SEE there was no chance of passing that horse and getting NEAR the lead.
cost 3Lengths right there(at least margin for 3rd place monies ROOKIE)

But WTF happened to that horse? Marquet Rebel was estimated to be worth $15,000 and entered in for $10K with the inflated purse structure.
So how did that animal hit a BRICK WALL from being abused by the jock into the first turn. I know it took a ton of horse out of him but he almost looked to have phsical or breathing problems. bad signs. Is Serey that bad, or just one bad circumstance???
should be claimed will have to check charts.

Robert, I'm not all that sure what you're refering to but if you look at that race he was losing ground in the stretch so not a good idea to expect a repeat of that win. When you bet a 6% jock what can go wrong usually does. I lost too on the race so we move on to the next one. Just saying is all.

well, was right. He was Claimed into the barn of trainer Joseph Parker today for 10K.

I hear what you are saying about the horse. He had a stupid ride into the first turn and that alone cost him 3rd, but I was still surprised he folded so cheaply. Some of these 10-20k horses can't take anything against the grain. The run 90s+ when they get a perfect trip, but when they get a lousy trip that knocks 10pts off early, they dont recover- it accumulates into the race.

I posted above because I was predicting a claim. And I thought it was a good claim. Pats on the back for successfully predicting a claim on a horse that wasn't super obvious, but having seen the horse face a troubled trip = he really isn't worth the 15K i estimated for him. 10K is about fair and if he doesn;t put the weight on and show he can BREATH, then he isn;t worth 10K!!

Not sure about Parker. I could see a big barn getting this guy and putting some weight on him and he could actually run a class or 2 higher. As is I won't be eager to play again.

-If anyone interested in the claiming game / trainer intent.

Horse claimed by Parker. Far from a super trainer, I really have to look deeper, but on the surface seems like a downgrade in trainer.

Will be interesting to see what class level shows up Next.

My guess?? = Same level in for 10k tag. (he didn't do well enough to need to "hide", and guessing that Parker doesn't DROP where he belongs)

The Play?? I will layoff this horse and continue to watch. If he gets claimed - (probably in 2 starts if he runs back @ 10k fails, and is dropped) - and the new trainer is a medium to high% barn I will expect to get a good price on the horse in most pools.
