I'll bet there was only 1 $2 ticket on the winner. Win pools are very small at dog tracks, 90%+ of monies are in exotic pool in a given dog race.

Same thing happens at the Jai Alai frontons.

Great chart...I guess this race had a few "trouble lines!!" Notice the 1-5 favorite was not a part of the quiniela.

Blitzkrieg-76 5 6 1 1 1 1 1 2.5 32.05 113.2 Defied The Odds
Wallcloud-72 8 5 2 2 2 2.5 32.21 4.00 Chased Winner
JA Avas Brooke-57 2 1 5 5 3 2.5 32.24 .20 Collided Closed
Hallo Popcorn-73.5 3 3 4 4 4 5.5 32.43 21.90 Trouble 1st Turn
Train's Cain-59 1 4 3 3 5 6.5 32.49 21.00 Trouble Twice

While we are sorta on the subject of dog racing...permit me this one small piece of advice. If you are ever at the dog track and wonder who the "favorite" is in a given race, find a monitor that shows the amount of money bet with each dog on top in the trifecta.

Most tracks give out this info. For example the monitor will look like:

1..729
2..376
3..1207
4..59
5..670
6..982
7..275
8..2108

In this case, the 8 is a clear favorite. He may not even be the favorite in the win pool due to some horseplayer dropping $50 on the 3 to win, but you can bet the 8 is the fave in the quin, exacta, and tri pools.
