3yo fillies going 6 1/2 turf downhill
This is a case where just a little knowledge about a pedigree could really help alot. Not so much about bloodlines but more about aptitude.
Take a look a the notes about the :4: on pedigree query
"Vionnet's Dam, Cambiocorsa, was a master of the 6 1/2 furlong turf downhill course at Santa Anita. After 2 nondescript races, Vionnet gave that same course a try and promptly won in an eye-popping performance from the back of the pack, cruising to an easy victory to break her maiden. Picking up where her Mom left off!"
Owners spent bucks to keep this line moving forward and look to have a good one.
Watch her maiden win and that sums it up. Plead ignorance about Go Go s absence but Flores and Pupye are a good fit. This filly has bright future and this might be a coming out party. Win :7:
I also like the :3: Dials back from a mile after rating and making big late run.Callahan is on fire right now and Invincible Spirit is second to none in Ire with young horses. Female line is light on any brilliance but sire is making up for it here. Classic example of speed over stamina. Exotic chance. :3:
Both fillys will have to move up from maiden scores against proven allowance types but worth a gamble based on above angles.
Should be a good race Enjoy your Sunday.
Also if anyone is interested in a grand daughter of the great Riboletta sired by a Son of Sadlers Wells who has sired 21 champions in South America see Sam Houston 1st race. :5: You can pick her up for 10k. Riboletta produced one of the highest selling yearlings purchased by Shiek Mohammed but has turned out to be a miserable producer and is kicking around down south. The Zayat horse is out of a 1/2 sister to Song of the Sword Illinois Derby and standing in OK for 1500.
