APV and CR?

can anyone using rdss tell me what is APV and CR and thier percent .they are included in every trackmaster download of racecard.

I knew TrackMaster had an APV (Average Purse Value) calculation in some (not all) of its data files; I did not know it also included CR (Class Rating).

RDSS computes those values from raw data (Purse values, timeframe, earnings, ITM finishes).

The formula is given in Follow Up #5, Page 7+ (Sartin Methodology Library). If you're not a PaceandCap.com member, just register, then help yourself.

I have, and use both of these factors, though only as "secondaries".

I fine them more useful in the upper claiming and allowance races, but you need to watch out for APV's at tracks that have inflated (slots) purses.
