Okay, here's a short bedtime story. Once upon a time someone dreamed up a grand global taxation plan because money would save the world from man-made global warming. But wouldn't you know that over time neither Climate or Weather was very cooperative, as Mother Earth over time kept pulling the rug out from under the scam artists' feet and making liars out them. It was just too cold and too many places were freezing over and the polar bear population wasn't thinning out fast enough. :rolleyes:
So, the Mad Scientists and ambitious power-hungry world leaders and politicians met and decided they'd have to market AGW differently if the public was going to buy into it. Some genius came up with the marketing idea of calling it "Climate Change". (How brilliant!) This way no matter what the weather outside today was doing, it could easily be attributed to man-made Climate Change.
But apparently the public grew dubious and skeptical of this, also, especially since so many scientists have left the Dark Side and stepped into the Light to reveal to the world what Climate Change was really all about. Plus the scandal Climate Gate didn't help matter any either. The Doom and Gloom message of the Chicken Littles just wasn't resonating with so much of the industrialized world. So, the Brainiacs of the world met again. They had to find something to point to that would irrefutably prove once and for all that Man really is the culprit -- The Destroyer of Mother Earth. Allow me to introduce you to these scam artists' latest and greatest marketing idea.

Jan 24 (Reuters) - Representatives from around the world gather in Rio in June to try to hammer out goals for sustainable development at a U.N. conference designed to avoid being tripped up by the intractable issue of climate change.
But there is concern in the lead-up to the conference, known as Rio+20 or the Earth Summit, that it risks ending up as all talk and little action.
In an attempt to avoid too much confrontation, the conference will focus not on climate change but on sustainable development - making sure economies can grow now without endangering resources and the environment for future generations.
U.N. conferences over the past decade have begun with high hopes for agreements to compel nations to cut climate-warming emissions and help adapt to a hotter world, but they often ended with disappointingly modest results. That was the case last year in the global climate change summit in Durban, South Africa. Participants at that meeting agreed to forge a new deal by 2015 that would go into force by 2020.
The "sustainable" branding for this year's summit, rather than climate, is by design, said Ambassador Andre Correa do Lago, who headed Brazil's delegation to the U.N. climate talks in Durban and will be a chief negotiator for Brazil in Rio.
Sustainable development is an easier sell globally than climate change, even though sustainable development is a way of tackling global warming and other environmental issues, he said.

So, by the U.N.'s own admission they could not sell either "global warming" or "climate change" to many nations. If the scientific facts of for AGW are so compelling, so irrefutable, then it must be asked, why not!? Have these skeptical nations entered into a suicide pact with one another? :rolleyes:
Do these nations secretly harbor a death wish? They see all this compelling evidence and all these incontrovertible scientific facts, yet they turn blind eye to it -- to their own destruction?
The article is really saying that many major developed nations aren't buying into these scientific facts (so-called). So, a new marketing strategy and gimmick had to found. If you can't convince people on YOUR version of the facts, then it's time to consult with the marketing experts because they have all kinds of gimmicks up their sleeves -- things they know will catch the attention of consumers.
If you research this "sustainable development" strategy out you will see that it's tied in directly to the earth's population! Ah, Hah! Earth's population! Well, we all know who is responsible for that, right? :rolleyes: After all, there's only been one recorded virgin birth on the planet, right? So, we can't blame Him. :lol: :lol:
These left wing extremists are relentless. You gotta give 'em that. They will find a way to tap into your wealth.
