Mike Malenski, 39, a veteran forest ranger who oversaw a wildlife management area in northeast Oklahoma, faces 56 counts of arson.
At the time it seemed like a quarter of the state burned. Only a slight exaggeration. People are justifiably upset. I don't know how many homes were lost because of this maniac. Many of the fires were set during high winds and very dry conditions.
