Just looknig over the updated money list and find it interesting that Pletchers name seems to be disappearing. Right now El Padrino is at #17 with $250,000 and Gemologist is at #34 with just $103,000. Thinking El Padrino will not race again with 5 weeks to go and although Gemologist is running in the Wood, he needs a top 2 finish. Unless Windsurfer can pull an upset in Louisiana today or Gemologist can score in the Wood, Pletcher may not have a Derby horse.

and also is a nominee for triple crown
so 3 derby slots might be comin from across the pond

doubt they make the cut for the derby

Hero of Order will not be allowed to run in the Derby unless there aren't 20 horses that want to run. He is not nominated. He can only supplement if there is an open spot.

Casse says that they are 50-50 on running Prospective in the derby now. Baffert said Drill will not run in the KD.

Trainer Mark Casse said Prospective, who has $367,327 in graded earnings and can make the field, remains on the fence in regard to his Derby status. “We’ll make our decision after he works about a week out from the race,” said Casse.
