Lets hope they never test for alcahol before they let a bettor makes a bet.

Wonder if a big loser has claimed that as a defense? Wagering could probably be seen as a contract between the bettor and the race track??? And you can't legally enter into a contract under the influence!

The article at the link states:

"The expected approval of the new rule, given preliminary okay last summer, provides that a blood alcohol content of .05 or higher will be considered alcohol impairment."

One beer might make a 113 lb. rider pretty close to that .05 level.

I thought a number of years back the former owner of the Eagles got some of his casino gambling losses cancelled, his position was that he was too drunk to know what he was doing when he signed markers.
