With all the recent news of Rachel Alexandra's foal and also seeing Arienza entered for her first race off the layoff, I was wondering what happened to Take Control which was Azeri's first foal? Broke maiden at Santa Anita in 2009, they had Derby hopes, then the horse was sidelined and no news since 2010 from what I can see.

Was the horse retired for good?

According to this recent article, Take Control is now "on the comeback trail", but no details for why he's been sidelined so long..

I have never, and when I say never, I seriously mean, never seen a horse, troll my workout virtual stable like take control has over the past 2 years. It's like clock work. 3F good work, couple of good 4F works, a 5F work, then you start looking for the entry, then poof. this has happened like 5 or 6 times now with this horse.
