Last year I ate at the outdoor part of the turf club. Dress attire is enforced and I was wearing a dress shirt and dress slacks and shoes, but no sport jacket. Not sure but they might require a sport jacket now. Most every other guy I saw was wearing a sport jacket. I enjoyed being outdoors at a table as most other turf clubs are all indoors. The menu wasn't anything special as I think I just had a cheeseburger or something. The best part were the lines to make a bet compared to the grandstand, as there was no wait at all which makes it worth the $20 dollars to me. When I make it back out there again I will definitely go to the outdoor part of the turf club again.

Seabisquit tour is a tram tour to the stable that housed Seabisquit, some of where the movie scenes were shot, etc. It only takes place on Sat. and Sun. I think. It all depends on how big a Seabisquit fan you were as to whether it would interest you or not. You get to see quite a bit of the stable area, which is something you wouldn't normally see.

Also on the Seabiscuit Tour after the tram part there's a walking portion if one wants- You get to go into the Receiving Barn & walk through the silks & jockey's room, visit the Seabiscuit & George Wolfe statues, go over to the carriage horses & meet Fighting Furrai who was one of the horses that played Seabiscuit in the movie.

At Frontrunner the menu could be called California Casual. There is no dress code like the Turf Club as I wear blue jeans & a polo shirt, just use common sense. There's various size tables, but there's also a huge bar where one can get food service. Other than the press box, it's the best place to watch a race as you're on the 4th floor overlooking the track, go down to the big windows in front. Reservations are required, if you don't have one there's a waiting list as if someone hasn't showed up by the 1st race they release the table.

I was at Santa Anita for the 2003 Breeders' Cup.

The San Gabriel in the background looks like a painting.

Just wonderful.
