Early Pick-4 on Tampa's Wednesday card

Race 3:1::2: It's always tough to go against a Ness horse (6), but (2) Guam Typhoon looks outstanding, and (1) Thank U Phillipe from Wolfson could surprise at 5-1 ML odds.

Race 4 :2::4: I like the two chalks here,especially the (4) Tuxedo Park trained by Johnathan Sheppard.

Race 5:1::4::8::11: Wide-open race as we have bottom-level maidens. These look like the four most playable horses, but you never know at this level.

Race 6:1::4::6: One of my favorite horses is the (6) The Lady Waffles. This Feliciano trainee has been great for me over the years on the Tampa lawn, and I had a big score out of her last time out, that said I expect (4) Lucky Lass to turn the tables this time, also (1) Monstrip has in the past shown the ability to surprise at a big price.

Pick-4 Play $24.

Race 7:7::8: (7) Bally Duff Bridge should enjoy being back at this level.

Race 8 :2::5::6::10: 2,5,and 6 are all first-timers, I expect one of these to get the job done.

Race 9:5::7::8: (5) Denaeslittldreamer goes for red-hot Dennis Ward barn, drops back to level where he could do big damage at 6-1 ML odds.

Race 10:1::7::9: All three of these horses along with (2) exit what is shaping up to be a key race, as 3 horses have come back to run well. the (7) Olivia Twist, trained by Leigh Delacour had a troubled trip, and is the top choice.

Late Pick-4 play $36.
Pick-5 play with all 3 from Race 6 $108, that's too steep for me so, I'm going cheap and singling Lucky Lass in the P-5 to make the play $36.

Race -3 :1: :2: :6: - The 1 looks like the one to beat here coming off an even try off the layoff. Ships over from Gulf and has a bullet work too.

Race -4 :2: - Going to single the 2 here . Trainer O'Conner has hit 5 out of 8 when double dropping in class so far this meet. Should relish the return to the main track today.

Race -5 :1: :4: :6: :8: :11: :12: - Going to pretty much buy this ugly Maiden event here with the 8 probably being my straight wager.

Race -6 :3: :4: :5: :6: :7: - Wide open turf affair here. The 4 being claimed last out by Ness will be tough.

Pick 4 Bet $45 for .50

Race -7 :4: :8: :1: - Like the 4 as my top play in this spot. Should get a good pace set-up.

Race -8 :1: :5: - The 5 is a Clement first time starter with nice works.

Race -9 :1: :7: :8: - I like the :7: as my straight wager here.

Race -10 :9: :10: - The :9: looks like the likely winner here.

Well, this was a nice day (but could have been glorious) after I got home from work. Missed the late p-4 (I did not play the late p-3), but have a nice late double, and money on
Olivia Twist. Not playing the favorite in race 7 cost me a $3447 p-5 and a $418 p-4 on 50 cent bets. $3 double brings me home $90. Could have been a contender!
