Cant argue with that choice of Junebugred
Surprised #4 No Spin is 16-1...outside horses have speed and gotta go from out there so maybe a good enough pace will develop for No Spin.

By the way, the #12 Reckless Jerry ran a very nice race.
Wide all the way around and still gaining late....never did get by on the gallop out though.
He's a big strong colt.

Yeah, missed Moshe Diane too...bad day at the races for me.
Glad you got that one Casino

Reckless Jerry really impressed. Great ride by Bravo on the 2.

Would love to see this horse make some noise on the trail. Hobby is a good guy and excellent trainer. Ironically my friend T-Red takes care of the farm for the some of Hobby's big owners. Junebugred ran a pretty seasoned race for a maiden winner and Bravo rode him very patiently. Would be cool to see Bravo get a Derby. All in good time it is early. Wonder if he will stay at OP and Bravo will retain the mount? Good race and Kudos to the filly. Not much you can do with a 3yo filly who wants to run long this time of year. She should be real tough if she comes back for the Fantasy.

I think this Smarty Jones field wasn't so great. It just didn't compare with previous years in terms of talent. Overall though it was a tough race betting-wise.

Also - No Spin was reshod in the paddock prior to the race. Moreover on him I don't understand why the connections keep running him on dirt. He's running much bigger numbers on turf and poly...that's where he needs to be. We know Tim Ice wants another classic horse but No Spin is not the one to do it.
