I know our web site has not been posting on here too much lately, but there are two new articles that went up over the weekend which may interest you.

The first is about the self destructive nature of Newt Gingrich:

http://www.hollywoodrepublican.net/2012/01/the-independent-vote/ (http://www.hollywoodrepublican.net/2012/01/the-independent-vote/)

The second is about the independent's love of Ron Paul:

Those look like the same two links to me.

Re: Ron Paul as an Independent
That would guarantee another 4 years for Obama.
Also, it would damage his son's chances for a run at the Presidency down the track.

I think he would skim some of the college vote from Obama to as great an extent as he would siphon off votes from conservative Republicans who aren't enthusiastic about the Establishment Candidate.

This is precisely why BO is making draconian military cuts, sizing down the military, pulled out prematurely from Iraq and is now pushing for talks with the Taliban. All these activities appeal to young, muddle-headed peaceniks.

ANY serious 3rd party bid by an independent would make Barack Obama a dead lock to win a 2nd term. Paul, Trump, or some one else, would not matter.

......Maker your own charts here based on real data that curiously is usually very different than what you gentlemen believe. Reality tends to be very much at odds to what you guys babble daily

the news has been talking of BO downsizing the military which I would understand to mean cost the taxpayers less.

of coarse, if I were a democract I would believe that we are downsizing the military but quality costs more.

okay hcap, i opened the door for you. Graph away.

Since 2010 and 2011 are in red, meaning estimated, that is old data and can't possibly take into account the new developments of the last few months.

$707 billion in 2011.

$671 billion for 2012.

Also a discretionary budget of about $550 billion or about 4x that of China for anyone interested.

Newt G, Ronadlo Paulie & hcap graphs? What a mess. And HOW droll.

What's the pernt in yappin' about those has-beens?

My boy is up by what in SC - 21%?

Dig this. Some stat, from some reliable stat joint, has 52% of Flahroidians saying AIN'T NO WAY they'd vote BO. That num will only go up. If BO loses Flah by 6-7 - ToastCentral.

Have you met the fam?

Our current cuts reduce the normal budget from $530 to $475 billion or basically 2007 levels.

Still about 3x what China spends to anyone keeping score.

I'll tell ya what I'm gonna do, and that's take the high ground hair. Here.

I can back up me facts with a good slice BUT lets roll with this "retirement village thingamajiggy."

Now, I had a place out in Palm Desert @ Monterey CC so met a pile of geriatrics. I played Monterey & BigHorn and they invited me over to play their executive courses. A joy they were. The STORIES i heard from these folk while we played about the 'club politics' - Side Schplitin' stuff i tell ya. Side Splittin'.

I went to a Larry Welk facility to pick-up some chick who took care of an elder woman. I fell asleep a block into the compound and hit a tree. I kid, but Larry has a 'facility' round Temecula. I think you can wear robes all the time. I look forward to that.

The read I get from the same geriatric set goes like this:

All are lifelong whatevers and will vote accordingly. It don't matter if the candidate is qualified or quiche.
