Javave a bunch of java updates on my computer

I have a bunch of java updates on my computer. Am I suppose to delete the old ones and keep the latest? Or do nothing.

An interesting enough question Big Red....I have often wondered the same thing.....

You don't say what OS your using?
Nor, did you state where these updates are stored?
Are they all in Control Panel (installed programs) or in actual file folders?

I've XP and there are not an updates in storage.

Sun Java not MS.
The current running version is 6.0 with Update 29.

If nothing else simply uninstall the current installed version of SunJava (all versions if more are installed via CP).

Delete all the Java files left over.

Then download and install the current SunJava.
