This explains the Waiver Claiming rule in California. I can't find if it is the same in Arkansas.

Yes there's one horse in that race that has been off since July and started for 5k in that last race so it is ineligible to be claimed. I believe it is 120 days in Arkansas.

The trainer must invoke this one time waiver at TIME OF ENTRY. I put that part in caps because that is a strict rule.

Sometimes changes can be made before scratch time. Blinkers, shoes, lasix, geldings ect.

The "not for claim" part of the entry MUST be declared at time of entry. No exceptions.

There was a horse at Beulah this week that had a WCl race at Oaklawn in its pp's; I'd have never noticed or even wondered what it was without this topic.

One can still learn something new around here from time to time.
