Who do you want coaching your team?

Coughlin got Jacksonville to a championship game and won a super bowl with Giants.
Reid has lost alot of big games with good teams.

Reid.

I don't really even think it's close.

Coughlin. I don't really even think it's close.

Reid took the "dream team" all the way to nowhere. Don't know how he keeps his job; must have naked pictures of the owner's wife somewhere.

I can forgive one inconsistent season to Coughlin whose teams are inconsistent every year.

Reid is a pretty good small market coach. Reid and his staff have evolved to the point where he can lead a team with small-market talent to still have a top-10 passing style offense and an emotional defense with team leaders.

Coughlin coaches in a big market. He has a semi-elite QB talent (Eli Manning). He has a rather conservative overall style. He has to be credited for winning a superbowl.

Both are solid coaches. Neither is elite.

Ugh, unless Lurie has a trophy wife, those might be black and white photos...maybe Reid has photos of Lurie with some of the Eagle cheerleaders.

I agree, but Coughlin has that ring. Eagles fans want one so desperately and the vast majority would probably trade Reid for Coughlin AND that ring yesterday.

Most overrated coach in the NFL Cant win the big one, stinks at time management I think he has naked pictures of Jeff Lurie with a chicken The guy should have been fired long ago The Eagles NEVER win a Super Bowl with him and Vick!

Most years Reid gets his team into the playoffs. That's about all you can ask. The playoffs are crap shot every year. A lot of years the best team doesn't even end up in the super bowl. The teams in the playoffs are so evenly matched, that the games are often is decide by a fluke play like a missed FG or an in-game injury or a bad penalty call. Things that the coach has no control over. Reid lost his super bowl because McNabb got hurt early in the game and was playing at less than 100%. This year by the end of the of the year the Eagles were playing as well as anybody. They were hurt by all the new players they brought in on defense early in the season. I am not a Vick fan, but plenty of worse QBs have won a super bowl.

one season of underachieving shouldn't define a coach but i get the feeling reid would have dropped that home playoff game to the falcons 6 times outta 10.

You said it, Legend. Give him another 10 years or so to figure it out.

I don't buy big market/small market in the NFL. The league shares just about all revenue.
