Seriously though, I think the horse racing awards should be voted on by the public, and things like Twitter accounts would be kind of neat.

Getting the public more involved in horse racing is a necessity these days.

Given there are lots of fans who want Rapid Redux to get HOY, fans have proven they can't be trusted with any meaningful rewards. The "people's choice" award that the NTRA started this year seems more than enough.
