Do they have anything on T'bred racing as far as raw numbers are concerned? My gut says not but I'll leave it to Jeff, cj and others to make a better evaluation.

DJ, Thanks for posting the link... Fascinating read.

Quick response... Racing data contains more data points per horse than golf data contains data points per golfer. Therefore (my opinion) racing data is infinitely more complex than golf data. Let's say for the sake of argument that a player employs a comprehensive set of racing algorithms that collectively evaluate 12k data points per starter (not all that hard to do) - Multiply that times 8 starters per race times 55k races per year - and you have (what?) approximately 5.28 billion data points per year for North American races alone (vs. 77.8 mil for the PGA Tour.)

The article talks about a stat called Strokes Gained Through Putting.

It wouldn't take a mathematician from MIT to compile a similar set of stats for North American trainers (Lengths Gained Chemically anyone?)
