A man in love is incomplete until he has married. Then he's finished.

It seems that most of the people who are getting married these days are gay.

Some previous studies I have read about put the blame squarely on women

Today's young man has no reason whatsoever to get married.

He receives all the benefits of marriage without being married. Simple enough

That gay people should marry is absolutely the best thing that could happen for the rest of us. There should be a law. ;)

If that's what you think marriage is all about you must be single...

Or divorced.

That's very sad . A similar scenario happened with a friend of mine who married an immigrant. She now resides in his condo and he can't go back.
He is an emotional wreck right now.

You have no idea how wrong you are. He has a beautiful wife, and they're two of the most happily married people I know. Obviously you haven't looked in the photo gallery at this year's Saratoga gathering.;)

Newt wants to pass an amendment that defines marriage as an institution between a man and a women. And then another woman. And then another woman.

It appears the whole country is wanting to become 007 wannabes, thinking they have an open license to fornicate.

Would You Marry Again? - Priceless

A husband and wife are sitting quietly in bed reading when the Wife looks over
At him and asks the question....

WIFE: "What would you do if I died? Would you get married again?"

HUSBAND: "Definitely not!"

WIFE: "Why not? Don't you like being married?"

HUSBAND: "Of course I do..."

WIFE: "Then why wouldn't you remarry? "

HUSBAND: "Okay, okay, I'd get married again."

WIFE: "You would?" (with a hurt look)

HUSBAND: (makes audible groan)

WIFE: "Would you live in our house?"

HUSBAND: "Sure, it's a great house.."

WIFE: "Would you sleep with her in our bed?"

HUSBAND: "Where else would we sleep?"

WIFE: "Would you let her drive my car?"

HUSBAND: "Probably, it is almost new."

WIFE: "Would you replace my pictures with hers?"

HUSBAND: "That would seem like the proper thing to do."

WIFE: "Would you give her my jewelry?"

HUSBAND: "No, I'm sure she'd want her own."

WIFE: "Would you take her golfing with you?

HUSBAND: "Yes, those are always good times."

WIFE: "Would she use my clubs?

HUSBAND: "No, she's left-handed."

WIFE: -- silence --

HUSBAND: "SHIT."

CJd, you were there, this past August. I met Lorie, as well. And photographed she and Ralph at Saratoga in the tent. My comment wasn't directed at Ralph, who fully knows he's happily married. It was meant for TJDave who I quoted and who made the erroneous comment.

Having children out of wedlock no longer has a stigma attached to it. :bang:

At the same time? Wow, that would make Newt a Muslim, did not know that. Kind of thought that the guy in the Whitehouse might have had that one covered.

Something I've always found confusing. How does a man, married several times, convince the next woman that this time it's gonna be different? Does it take a special breed of woman, are these men particularly persuasive or is it a case of like minds attracting?

And why would anyone keep trying especially since there are penalties involved? You would think that after the second or third time one would figure out they weren't very good at relationships.

TJ, if you lie to your wife, why should I ever believe you will tel me the truth?
Newt just made a big deal about signing a pledge not to cheat on his wife.

Duh.
Wasn't that what his MARRIAGE VOWS were all about?
