Somebody finally smartened up.

"By Associated Press, Published: December 12

TORONTO — Canada pulled out of the Kyoto Protocol on climate change Monday, saying the accord won’t help solve the climate crisis. It dealt a blow to the anti-global warming treaty, which has not been formally renounced by any other country.

Environment Minister Peter Kent said that Canada is invoking its legal right to withdraw and said Kyoto doesn’t represent the way forward for Canada or the world."

“To meet the targets under Kyoto for 2012 would be the equivalent of either removing every car, truck, ATV, tractor, ambulance, police car and vehicle of every kind from Canadian roads or closing down the entire farming and agriculture sector and cutting heat to every home, office, hospital, factory and building in Canada,”

Is that all? Friggin' kanooks can't handle a little inConvenience.

When they said it would include the starting gate and maintenance equipment at Hastings, it pushed me over the edge....

Canada bans veils at citizenship ceremonies

MONTREAL -- In a move likely to inflame Canada's Muslim community, the government said on Monday it would bar all women wearing face coverings from taking part in citizenship swearing-in ceremonies.

Immigration Minister Jason Kenney said he had received complaints from citizenship judges and parliamentarians about veiled women taking the oath to become Canadian.

"Requiring that all candidates show their faces while reciting the oath allows judges and everyone present to share in the ceremony," Kenney said in a speech in Montreal.

"The citizenship oath is a quintessentially public act. It is a public declaration that you are joining the Canadian family and it must be taken freely and openly."

Wow... more Islamophobia...

Didn't know there was a problem with the way they had been doing it for the last 154 years... :faint:

Oh no,14 bil a YEAR.

Ahh...that's still not a lot. Very inhumane and very selfish of Canadians to be so darn greedy for the almighty dollar when the life of the entire planet is at stake. Do you realize that you're saying that the lives of nearly 7 billion people who inhabit this dark, forlorn world is only worth about $2. per year?

Sorry, but I'm so grieved over this I'm canceling my planned vacation trip to Canada, since Canadians think so little of me. :( :(

154 years ago, people weren't blowing up airliners and themselves. Might have something to do with the changing times. Just a wild, crazy guess, of course...

Please connect the dots between A) becoming a citizen and B) blowing up a plane.

Connect the dots the decision has to do with Islamophobia.

What if this dork showed up for his citizenship and they refused. Would that be, Balaclavaphobia?
