Gulfstream pick 4 and pick 5 payout today

Gulfstream today.The pick 4 paid 4 times what the pick 5 paid.The race prior(first leg of pk 5)to the pick 4 was won by a 7/2 shot. :eek:

I didn't play either because I didn't feel strong enough about it. Thank God because I would've got 2 out of 5 and 1 out of 4!

Not really. But I'd be frustrated with that fact of the P4 paying more for awhile.

That's why I think it's key to pay attention to pool size. Arlington, and possibly other CDI tracks, post the on-going pool total prior to the 1st leg of the Pick 3/4/5/6, etc. There were some days where the P4 pool was $15k+ where the P5 was $2k or less. Which one would you play? I could be wrong but I do not believe GP does this.

That the pick five pays a 4/5 consolation tempers the 5/5 payouts a bit. Looks like each pool had $1 worth of perfect tickets.

Imagine if Hooh Why had held on at 40-to-1? We'd probably be looking at pick four and pick five carryovers.
