A Maiden Special Weight race for $7,400 attracted big money today at Beulah Park in Race 1. Over $47,000 total for WPS, which is higher than normal, for the total on a race of this type. Also, over $27,000 for the coupled No. 1, which just happened to finish in a dead heat. I think I saw several large show bets of $2,000 and maybe a $10,000 go up on the show pools. Who knew what on this race? The win price was $3.00 and the show was $2.10. Was it really worth it for that kind of money?

We in Grove City know a good thing every once and a while. Actually it looks like a off site wager. Only 20K of the 1.1 handle was bet on site. It has been good weather for ducks around here!

did you see their race a month ago in the glacial princess stakes? ran 2/3 as entry as maidens

the morning line for this entry was 4/5 and both parts have been competitive in stakes races

so I guess most people knew

if this was a 20/1 morning line first time starter with no works going off at 1/2, I would feel differently
