View Full Version : Jorge Chavez Bel 12/4 Race 9

NY BRED

Jorge was involved in a horrible spill yesterday, it appeared his
mount rolled over him.

Tom Durkin 's virtually stopped calling the race.

Incredibly the horse is ok, per the DRF Jorge will be out about 5 months with a broken collar bone.

It is amazing Jorge surrvived this accident based upon the pan shot/
and head on replays.

Another wakeup call for the dangers faced by Jockey and throughbred,
especially for those critics thinking jockeys and owners are overpaid..

I was watching the race, and it looked pretty serious to me. That's why it doesn't surprise me that he'll be out for five months. I just hope he makes a 100% recovery.
