Decker, If you've never tried handicapping programs there's free software on the BRIS website as well as the Handifast program that's been develped by members of this board. Look above the main Handicapping Software window for the subforum window: You can read all about the Handifast software and the support is right there as well.

I'd sure try free stuff and get familiar with the look, features and the feel of it before spending money for a program.

Do you own a iPhone, iPod or a iPad? If so there is a program called iHandicapRaces, it is inexpensive and is a very good software program to start off with. You can find it in iTunes and is about $9.99 to purchase. Alot of the other software programs will be to complicated for a first time user, so i suggest you start small and work your way up from there.

Having said that you will not find all the answers in a software program, there is no such thing as a blackbox that gives you all the answers. You need to learn how to read the Past Performances with some proficiency to become successful in this game.

Good luck
