I was recently given two items, (1) a copy of the Bally's 2004 KY Derby Future Book, and (2) a Maiden Stats 2003 CD-ROM.
Imagine my surprise when only 1 of the first 5 or 6 colts on the list were found in the data base from the CD-ROM.
The BRIS documentation claims all the 2- and 3-year-olds are on the disc.
I did find a couple of randomly selected colts in the data base but to "stumble" so badly right out of the starting gate has put me off the idea of throwing a few bucks on some long odds (100 to 300:1) runners.
Any one have anything good to say about Maiden Stats?
Of course Bally's could be trying to pull a fast one by putting names of ineligable equines on their list.
