Why leave Florida and give those specific reasons on why you left? I could understand it, if it was a great situation but Ohio State isn't what I would call a great situation to be taking over the ship right now.

the B1G is a much softer conference than the SEC...That relieves a lot of stress ;)

I heard about this on Tuesday or Wednesday, via someone who is about three degrees of separation from Herbstreit. I immediately recalled how Herbie announced Les Miles to Michigan a few years ago and that didn't happen, so I haven't placed much stock in this rumor. But if Herb Street is going to join the staff, maybe it will have some legs.

Herbie= not sure why he'd want to go into coaching. It's a pressure grinder he doesn't currently deal with, and can take years off your life. He has maybe the best job in ncaa sports right now, and is "safe" in employment

Meyer= JR is correct. When I saw the crawl "I have not accepted any offer" it pretty much says it all. He's been offered, or approached aggressively & contemplating taking it.

It would give him a reason to move back to C-bus.

I'll say it again - would LOVE to see Meyer in NFL as unrealistic as it is ..

THE ohio state u , would be a good pick:ThmbUp:

Meyer could never handle the NFL player he would be a complete bust. He couldn't even control his own take a look at this.

This is only for police records who knows how many countless times his position as coach saved players from being fingerprinted.

He would fit right in at Ohio State the bar is much lower there.

a recruit signed a letter of intent today and said he thinks he will be playing for Meyer.........

Makes me wonder if he already knows........

Good job I would say yes because now others who may have chosen a different school will have different thoughts.

The Urban has been pulled from doing the Michigan game. "They need him in the studio" is a euphemism for "avoiding a clear and present conflict of interest."

I know Luke Fickell was a placeholder all along, and he likely knew it going in, but still....You have to feel for the guy. No one in that locker room fears him, he's a lame duck. Hard to coach under those circumstances. I hope he lands a good gig.

Tressell will be a hard act to follow, at least in the results columns.

Beat Michigan 90% of the time.

Went to a BCS game 80% of the time.

tOSU fanbase just as rabid as any out there too, Urban must miss the pressure.

Urban Meyer is 2 games away from running the table in his first season

I think the team relies way too much on the running quarterback.

But if Meyer can get past Wisconsin and Michigan and run the table in spite of no bowl, in his first season, he will be God like in Columbus.

Bucks just defeated Michigan.

Undefeated season.

Michigan never made it into Ohio State territory in 2nd half.

Ohio State made lots of Mistakes. But Urban got it done!

Great Season any way you cut it. 2 undefeated seasons in last ten years.

In Columbus the worst job in the world tonight is working tonight for the Columbus Police Dept.
