Usually,I can point to a pp or can rationalize a bomb winning based
on form cycles,works,eqp't changes, jock/trainer etc.
In fact, I've hit several bombs such as Shane Roars, and I can
clearly understand the owners were high on this MAIDEN claimer
who was entered under bizarre conditions.
That said, this horse ran "lights out" in a NY Bred stakes easily doubling
its speed #'s against some decent competition and good trainers.
interestingly, the trainer entered a firster who outworked this bomb,
which I could have supported.
Needless to say ,I blew the pick 3/4 and did have the "small"
bomb in the 9th race.
